Abdominal
Evaluates organs like the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and abdominal aorta for conditions such as gallstones, liver disease, and kidney stones.
Used to evaluate lumps, cysts, or masses in breast tissue and guide biopsies
Carotid
Examines carotid arteries for blockages that could lead to stroke
Echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound)
Assesses heart function, valve abnormalities, and congenital defects
Gynecological
Evaluates pelvic organs, fibroids, IUDs, cycles, cysts, and polyps
Musculoskeletal
Visualizes muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints to diagnose sprains, tears, or inflammation
Obstetric
Monitors fetal development during pregnancy, confirms pregnancy, estimates due dates, and detects ectopic pregnancies
Pelvic
Assesses reproductive organs in both men and women; includes transabdominal, transvaginal, and transrectal approaches
Thyroid
Detects thyroid nodules, cysts, and enlargement; often used to guide fine-needle aspiration biopsies
Venous doppler
Evaluates blood flow in veins, commonly used to detect deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
