The RN residency program at Atlantic Health CentraState Medical Center is a 12-month immersive experience designed to support newly licensed registered nurses as they transition into practice within Atlantic Health CentraState.

Led by a dedicated RN residency coordinator, the program combines preceptorship, hands-on clinical experience, didactic learning, simulation training, and interactive case study analysis to build clinical competence and confidence.

Nurse residents gain essential health care knowledge while benefiting from a supportive environment that promotes professional growth, enculturation, retention, and positive patient outcomes.

Offered three times a year—in March, August, and December—the program provides ongoing education to help nurses develop the skills needed to work independently in a hospital setting.

We are proud to be the first hospital in New Jersey to earn five-year accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education for an entry-to-practice nurse residency program, reflecting its commitment to the highest educational standards.

Open positions are posted online; applicants should apply only if they are eligible to begin working within the next 3–5 months.
