About the study

Videofluoroscopic swallow study is a test that determines if a patient has dysphagia, or a swallowing disorder. It is performed by an Atlantic Rehabilitation speech-language pathologist and a radiologist, who make recommendations about diet modifications and swallowing treatments based on the results.

The videofluoroscopic swallow study is conducted in the radiology department of the hospital. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time to complete the registration process
