Cerebrovascular studies

Though your brain is only about two percent of your total body weight, it receives about 20 percent of the blood that flows through your body. A cerebrovascular study evaluates neurologic symptoms that might be due to a vascular disease affecting blood flow to the brain.

A Doppler ultrasound image is a noninvasive test that can be used to estimate the blood flow through your blood vessels by bouncing high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) off circulating red blood cells.
