973-660-3599EmailMORRISTOWN, NJ – OCTOBER 9, 2026 – Atlantic Health and the New York Jets are continuing their fight against cancer with a focus on pediatric oncology as part of the NFL and American Cancer Society's “Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer” campaign. Through a series of events, the Jets and Atlantic Health will increase awareness, provide comfort, and raise money for those who have been affected by cancer.
As part of the initiative, QB Geno Smith, DL Harrison Phillips, OG Joe Tippmann and WR Isaiah Williams spent time with pediatric patients at Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital and surprised them with custom Jets jerseys and signed footballs. The players also invited the children to serve as honorary captains at the team’s Crucial Catch game on Sunday, October 11. As part of the honor, each child will receive a $250 shopping spree in Jets Shop, join the team on the field for pregame warmups, and watch the game from a suite. In addition, the Jets and Atlantic Health will give one pediatric patient who cannot attend the game an opportunity to participate in the shopping spree on gameday with a VGo Robot. Designed for children with extended illnesses, immune deficiencies and other physical challenges that prevent physical attendance, the VGo robot provides an essential element for a child – the ability to participate in classroom and social experiences.
Prior to kickoff, the Jets and Atlantic Health will unveil a TIFO in the south end zone featuring artwork inspired by children receiving care at Atlantic Health. Additionally, proceeds from the game’s 50/50 raffle will benefit Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital. On gamedays, fans can purchase 50/50 raffle tickets three hours prior to kickoff until the two-minute warning of the fourth quarter. One lucky fan will split the jackpot with Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital. For rules and more information go to the Jets 50/50 Raffle page. For more information on how to help the Jets and Atlantic Health fight pediatric cancer please go to the Atlantic Health Jets Partnership page.
We create impactful programing that leaves lasting legacies for our community. Initiatives funded by the New York Jets Foundation positively influence the lives of young people in the tri-state area and provide opportunity for disadvantaged communities.
