Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute
Heart Care That Puts You at the Center
Home to New Jersey’s largest cardiac surgery program, the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown Medical Center was named one of the nation's 50 Best Hospitals for Cardiology and Heart Surgery by US News & World Report.
Morristown Medical Center is the highest-volume program in New Jersey for trans catheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), a minimally invasive procedure to replace the aortic valve without cardiac surgery.
We also offer catheter-based interventions for mitral and tricuspid disease that are not offered by just a handful of programs in the nation.
In addition, we are home to the Mac Mahon Family Foundation Cardiac Access Unit that has a specialized 28-bed unit which offers private rooms to prepare patients transferring to Gagnon for surgery or cardiac procedures. Families are welcome to stay in our spacious waiting room.
