Yuriy Khanin, MD

Yuriy Khanin, MD, is a fellowship-trained nephrologist who specializes in the field of onconephrology, board-certified in both internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and part of Atlantic Medical Group. His specialty focuses on preventing and treating diverse kidney issues that may arise as a result of cancer or its associated therapies.

After earning his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, Dr. Khanin completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in nephrology with subspecialty training in onconephrology, at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine in Manhasset, NY, where he was named Nephrology Fellow of the Year.

Dr. Khanin has authored many publications on onconephrology in peer-reviewed journals and has made several national presentations on the subject. He has been involved in several ongoing research studies. Dr. Khanin is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Onconephrology, National Kidney Foundation, American College of Physicians, Society of Hospital Medicine, and is fluent in Russian and basic Spanish. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
