About me
Since January of 2016, Dr. Steven J. Sheris has served as president of the Atlantic Medical Group. As the leader of an enterprise that includes over 900 providers across 300 locations throughout northern New Jersey and beyond, Dr. Sheris is responsible for overseeing the transformation of Atlantic Health System’s multi-specialty provider group into the region’s most preeminent medical care organization. He is committed to delivering on the promise of outcomes, value, patient-centeredness and efficiency of care. A skilled cardiologist, Dr. Sheris maintains a non-invasive cardiac care practice in New Providence. He also served as co-chairman of the Atlantic Medical Group board of directors and as chief of cardiology at Overlook Medical Center’s Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Sheris is a graduate of UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School. He completed his residency at the National Naval Medical Center and served as a physician in the United States Navy for 13 years. He achieved his fellowship training at Georgetown University Medical Center and is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
