Shawn Jindal, MD

Shawn Jindal, MD, is an attending fellowship-trained hematologist/oncologist with Advanced Care Oncology and Hematology Associates (ACOHA), part of Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). He is passionate about providing patient-centered care in hematology and oncology. Board-certified in Internal medicine, Hematology & Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Jindal’s interests span a wide range of areas in hematology and oncology. He has contributed to numerous clinical research projects, focusing on topics such as COVID-induced coagulopathy, the efficacy of anticoagulation therapy, and the impact of antibiotic use on autoimmune conditions.

After earning his medical degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, now called Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, Dr. Jindal performed his internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY, where he received several awards, including one for excellence in inpatient medicine. He remained at Montefiore to complete a fellowship in hematology/oncology.

In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Jindal is actively involved in medical education and mentorship. He has served as a mentor for internal medicine residents and has contributed to the development of mentorship programs aimed at guiding future generations of physicians. His volunteer activities include a surgery mission in Ecuador and performing physical exams in underprivileged villages of northern India.

Dr. Jindal has held leadership roles in various initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care. His commitment to excellence has been recognized through multiple awards, including the Chair’s Award for Excellence in Quality Improvement. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
