About me
Sara Kryeziu, MD, is a surgeon specializing in thoracic surgery. Board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and board-eligible in thoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, she has completed nearly 10 years of post-graduate training.
After earning her medical degree from Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, Dr. Kryeziu completed a combined residency in general surgery and thoracic surgery at NYU Langone and a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, where she examined molecular drivers of soft tissue sarcomas. Prior to joining Atlantic Health, she was a chief fellow of thoracic surgery at NYU Langone Health.
Dr. Kryeziu has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, delivered national presentations and is actively involved in surgical education, quality improvement and leadership. Her clinical and academic interests include thoracic oncology, minimally invasive robotic thoracic surgery, esophageal surgery and foregut disorders. She is a member of the professional organizations Society of Thoracic Surgery, Albanian American Medical Society, American College of Surgeons and American Medical Association. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
