About me

Dr. Paul Brown is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with Atlantic Medical Group Orthopedics at Clark. A former college baseball player, Dr. Brown experienced first-hand the importance of proper injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation – and he brings this same level of commitment and passionate care to his patients. Depending on each patient’s needs, Dr. Brown offers both surgical and nonsurgical solutions for a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries of the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow. He is a specialist in minimally invasive arthroscopic and reconstructive techniques, which minimize scarring and improve recovery and outcomes. Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Northwell Health-Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University in Long Island, where he served as chief resident and as a teaching associate. Dr Brown then completed his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the nationally recognized Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, CA. Experienced in caring for athletes at all levels of sport, Dr. Brown has participated in the care of several professional and college teams across the country, including the Los Angeles Chargers, the New York Lizards and the University of California at Irvine. He has also worked with numerous high school athletes and coordinated game coverage for his fellow residents. Dr. Brown has been involved in several research projects centering around anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, such as the comparison of graft choices and the anatomic placement of ACL grafts. He has been published on using collagen grafts in rotator cuff repairs to speed up recovery. He maintains memberships in the Arthroscopy Association of North America, The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.
