Laura Pizzano, APN

Laura Pizzano, MSN, APN-BC, FNP-C, RCES, is a family nurse practitioner specializing in electrophysiology with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). She has more than 20 years of cardiac experience, initially working at Hackensack University Medical Center from 2004-2011 and has been at Atlantic Health since 2011. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment. She provides comprehensive care, including diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications and managing treatment.

Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, followed by her Master of Science in nursing from Walden University in Baltimore, MD, and her postmaster’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, MA. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and holds certifications in cardiac-vascular nursing and cardiac electrophysiology (RCES). She is a member of many professional organizations, including Heart Rhythm Society, American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the nursing honors society Sigma Theta Tau International, Gamma Nu chapter. She has earned multiple awards, including the Healthcare Heroes award, the American Heart Association Heart and Stroke Heroes award and multiple Daisy awards. She is highly active as a volunteer, involved on multiple councils and committees within Atlantic Health and AMG. She also volunteers on the Board of Health in her hometown. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
