Kevin V James, MD

Kevin James, MD, FACS, RPVI, is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). He has been the medical director of the Noninvasive Vascular Laboratory at Morristown Medical Center for 20 years. Board-certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery, he specializes in aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, dialysis access care, and the full spectrum of varicose vein problems. Dr. James is also certified as a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI), which documents the highest standard in vascular ultrasound interpretation.

With more than 25 years of experience in vascular surgery, Dr. James also has significant clinical research trial experience as a co-investigator for studies examining the safety and effectiveness of a wide variety of advanced aortic, carotid and thoracic stents and vascular graft systems. These trials include devices from a wide range of medical device manufacturers, as Dr. James seeks the best results for his patients. He has been published in peer-reviewed surgical journals and presented at national conferences.

After earning his medical degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Dr. James performed his residency in general surgery at Morristown Medical Center, then called Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ. He then completed a fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

Dr. James is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, American Medical Association, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgery, International Society of Endovascular Specialists, Morris County Medical Society, and the Medical Society of New Jersey. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
