Kathryn Waksmundzki Silva, MD

Kathryn Waksmundzki Silva, MD, is a pulmonologist with Atlantic Medical Group specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and fellowship-trained in pulmonary and critical care medicine, she is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of chronic and acute pulmonary conditions.

Dr. Waksmundzki Silva is dedicated to improving the lives of patients coping with breathing disorders and illnesses that compromise pulmonary function. Along with her extensive clinical training she is proficient in bronchoscopy and pleural procedures. Recognizing that conditions affecting the respiratory system can be physically and emotionally overwhelming, she strives to build trust with patients and families through her compassionate approach. Dr. Waksmundzki Silva is dedicated to teaching and clinical research aimed at advancing the understanding of respiratory illness and treatments. In addition, she has been involved in presenting educational programs at the community level about the myths and dangers of vaping. She is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Waksmundzki Silva earned her medical degree from St. George’s School of Medicine, West Indies. She completed her residency at Penn State College of Medicine, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, UMass Memorial Medical Center. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
