About me
Kathleen Carstens, MD, is a primary care physician with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she treats adults for the full spectrum of acute and chronic conditions. As a primary care provider her emphasis is on prevention and wellness, taking a proactive approach to help her patients stay healthy. Calm and attentive, Dr. Carstens values the bonds she forms with patients, allowing her to deliver more personalized care.
Following a master’s degree in biological science, Dr. Carstens earned her medical degree from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Carstens is a member of the American College of Physicians and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
