Kalpeshkumar P Patel, MD

Kalpeshkumar Patel, MD, is a fellowship-trained sleep medicine specialist with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in family medicine, Dr. Patel has practiced medicine for over 30 years. For more than a decade he has been devoted to diagnosing and treating a broad range of sleep disorders in adults and children.

Sleep disorders are not uncommon and can disrupt day and night functioning. Sleep disturbance has sustained adverse short-term and long-term health consequences. Dr. Patel has extensive clinical experience as a sleep medicine specialist, most recently serving as the medical director of a dedicated sleep medicine and wellness center. Sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia/parasomnia, REM Sleep disorders, restless leg syndrome, and pediatric sleep disorders, can be evidenced by disruptive snoring, difficulty sleeping or breathing at night, excessive daytime sleepiness, or unusual behaviors during sleep. Dr. Patel aims to improve the lives of his adult and pediatric patients by helping them achieve restful sleep through careful assessment, management, and treatment. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from M. P. Shah Medical College in India. He pursued his residency training at Penn State College of Medicine, Memorial Medical Center, and a fellowship in sleep medicine at Seton Hall University, JFK University Medical Center, NJ. He has been nationally recognized as a top sleep doctor by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. Dr. Patel is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
