About me
Javier Alcid Duron Tabora, MD, is an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes and metabolic disorders with Atlantic Health. Board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has more than five years of experience diagnosing and treating disorders of the glands and hormones, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal and metabolic conditions. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.
Dr. Duron earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, then completed his internal medicine residency at Morristown Medical Center and his endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism fellowship at Rush University of Chicago. Prior to joining Atlantic Health, he gained extensive clinical and academic experience in both the United States and Honduras. He has also been actively involved in medical education as volunteer faculty at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and as a preceptor at the University of Pikeville–Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization
