James M Pritsiolas, MD

James M. Pritsiolas, MD, FASN, CHS, is a nephrologist specializing in nephrology and internal medicine. Board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has more than 20 years of experience treating patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, dialysis-related conditions and other kidney diseases.

After earning his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the Bronx, NY, Dr. Pritsiolas completed a residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, where he also served as assistant chief resident and chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in nephrology and hypertension at North Shore University Hospital. Prior to joining Atlantic Health, he was a partner in Summit Medical Group, with offices in Livingston and Morristown, NJ. Before that, he worked for CarePoint Health (now Hudson Regional Health).

Dr. Pritsiolas has authored peer-reviewed publications and has served as a quality and relevance reviewer for the American Society of Nephrology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He was also a clinical assistant professor at UMDNJ and has been the recipient of several teaching awards. Dr. Pritsiolas serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the National Kidney Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Hypertension and the American Medical Association. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
