Donald W Hoelzel, MD

Donald William Hoelzel, MD, is a pediatrician with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Serving as the director of Ambulatory Pediatrics at Morristown Medical Center and board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, he has more than 30 years of experience specializing in the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, focusing on their growth, development, and overall health. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.

Dr. Hoelzel obtained his bachelor degree in chemistry and completed a post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, followed by earning his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Camden, NJ. He then completed a pediatrics internship and residency at Morristown Medical Center, serving as pediatric chief resident his final year. Prior to joining AMG, he practiced primary care pediatrics at Basking Ridge Pediatric Health Center, Basking Ridge, NJ, and has served as the primary preceptor for the Pediatric Resident Continuity Clinic at Morristown Medical Center since 1997. He is a member of the professional organization American Academy of Pediatrics and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
