Dean W Padavan, MD

Dr. Dean Padavan is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is passionate about treating exercise related medical conditions and injuries including joint pain, muscular strains, joint sprains, stress fractures, sports concussions, and knee arthritis. He believes in a conservative first approach and in the body’s innate ability to heal itself. He is a member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, American College of Physicians and the NFL Physician society. Dr. Padavan has published and presented Sports Medicine topics/cases locally and nationally at conferences such as the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and the NFL combine. He is a clinical assistant Professor of Medicine, Thomas Jefferson University, Sidney Kimmel Medical college, and is the Associate Program Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at the Atlantic Health System. He enjoys educating future physicians, athletic trainers, nurses and physician assistants. Dr. Padavan is also the associate team Internist for the New York Jets, and has been an NFL sideline team physician since 2014. He is also a team physician for the College of Saint Elizabeth, Morristown high school, Morris County School of technology and Academy of St. Elizabeth. He conducts hundreds of sports physicals on a yearly basis for both amateur and professional athletes.
