Daria Abolghasemi, DO

Daria Abolghasemi, DO, is a breast surgeon specializing in breast surgical oncology with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in breast surgery by the Board of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and trained in the most up-to-date surgical procedures including nipple-sparing mastectomies and wireless lumpectomies, she treats a wide variety of patients with breast issues including those with benign conditions, those at high risk for breast cancer, and those with breast cancer. Inspired by her mother’s journey with breast cancer, she believes in providing all patients comprehensive and compassionate, high-quality care by applying evidenced-based and interdisciplinary approaches to the treatment of breast disease. She is also passionate about mitigating disparities in breast cancer treatment.

After earning her medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, NY, Dr. Abolghasemi completed a residency in general surgery at the New York Medical College at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Paterson, NJ. She then completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA. Prior to joining AMG, she served as an attending physician at ProHEALTH Breast Care & Surgery, Syosset, NY, and The Breast Center at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. She also holds a BS in biological sciences from Fordham University, the Bronx, NY.

Dr. Abolghasemi has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, delivered numerous regional and national presentations and abstracts, and is a member of the professional organizations the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and the American Osteopathic Association. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
