Colleen M Coughlin, MD

Colleen Coughlin, MD, is a fellowship-trained cardiologist with Morristown Cardiology Associates.

She is board-certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. Coughlin has more than 25 years of experience specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions, including heart disease in pregnant women and complications from pregnancy. She works with each of her patients to arrive at a plan of care to optimize their quality of life by considering the latest in medical research while aligning with the patient’s values.

After earning her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, Dr. Coughlin performed her residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Burlington, where she was selected to be chief medical resident. She followed that with fellowship training in cardiology at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Albuquerque. Dr. Coughlin practiced in Alaska and Maryland before moving to New Jersey and joining Atlantic Medical Group (AMG), Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Women’s Heart Program at Morristown Medical Center, where she was on the faculty of the cardiology fellowship program.

Dr. Coughlin is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a member of its subsections: Women in Cardiology and Prevention. She is a member of the AMG Lipid Working Group and previously worked with the Atlantic Post COVID Recovery Center. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
