Dr. Ashish Padnani is medical director of bariatric surgery at Morristown Medical Center. As a fellowship-trained bariatric and minimally invasive surgeon, Dr. Padnani serves as an advisor and advocate for his patients, helping them learn about their options so they can formulate the most effective medical and surgical plan to help them achieve long-term weight loss. Obesity is a complex disease and Dr. Padnani is passionate about providing an unparalleled commitment and the highest quality care to his patients. Dr. Padnani helps patients understand the science behind obesity, and why diets and medications fail to achieve sustained weight loss. He works closely with metabolic physicians, registered dietitians, psychologists and gastroenterologists to understand the reasons for each patient’s individual struggle with weight and to formulate a careful treatment strategy tailored to each person’s medical necessity. This multidisciplinary approach helps achieve the most successful weight loss and improvement in weight-related comorbid conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and others. Dr. Padnani completed his fellowship training at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Medical Center.
