Ashish A Khot, MD

Ashish Khot, MD, is a fellowship-trained physician specializing in hematology/oncology with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in hematology and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating blood disorders including anemia, leukemia, lymphoma and cancers of various organs, particularly lung, genitourinary, gastrointestinal and thoracic malignancies.

Dr. Khot embraces a patient-centric approach, educating and empowering his patients and their families to make well-informed decisions regarding their health care. He strongly believes in fostering open communication among patients, their caregivers, and all collaborating physicians, ensuring that their care remains seamlessly coordinated throughout their challenging medical journeys.

After earning his medical degree at Grant Medical College in Mumbai, India, Dr. Khot performed an internal medicine residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center (now called Mt. Sinai West/Morningside) in New York City. He then received specialized training in a hematology and oncology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY.

In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Khot is the regional medical director, eastern region at Atlantic Medical Group, overseeing multiple subspecialist clinicians and pediatric practices. He is the associate medical director for GU oncology for community oncology given his special interest in genitourinary cancer. He is a national speaker on bladder and kidney cancers. He serves on several Atlantic Health System committees, including the Overlook Medical Center Blood Bank and Transfusion Committee, as well as the Union Essex Regional Council, AMG Nomination Committee and AMG Health Equity Committee. He regularly lectures and provides teaching rotations for IM and family medicine residents and medical students at Atlantic Health System hospitals.

Dr. Ashish Khot is consistently recognized as a “Top Doctor” by New Jersey Monthly magazine by his peers. He is multilingual, speaking fluent Hindi and Marathi, among other languages. Dr. Khot is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
