Andrew Salinas, MD

Andrew Salinas, MD, is a family medicine physician with Atlantic Health. Board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, he has clinical expertise treating patients with a wide variety of common illnesses and conditions. He enjoys getting to know his patients and taking responsibility for providing their compassionate, comprehensive care. In addition to preventive medicine, routine physicals and periodic health screenings, he offers care for both acute and chronic conditions to patients of all ages.

After earning his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Salinas completed his family medicine residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerset, NJ, where he provided primary care services to a culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population. Dr. Salinas performed various office procedures and led the Rapid Response and Code Team. As part of his training, he participated in a Global Health elective, spending one month in the Philippines working in an outpatient multispecialty group. His volunteer efforts include performing sports physical exams for local youth including cardiac screening, educating local youth on various sports injuries and participating in an autism awareness community event.

Prior to earning his medical degree, Dr. Salinas served as a clinical research assistant at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where he interviewed and obtained medical histories from cardiac and vascular surgery patients for preoperative evaluation and curated data for an analysis of cardiac procedures for more than 450 patients. Dr. Salinas is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
