Akanksha Saxena, MD

Akanksha Saxena, MD, is a family medicine physician with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, she provides primary care and prevention services for people aged three years and older, bringing outstanding clinical experience to her practice caring for newborns to the elderly. With a holistic approach to health and well-being, she takes time to get to know her patients and helps them feel at ease. Whether for routine care or managing a chronic condition, she partners with each patient to achieve optimal health.

Dr. Saxena earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, and completed her residency in family medicine at Rutgers Health-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold, NJ. She has pursued a volunteer endeavor for the past several years developing health and wellness educational newsletters aimed at older adults. A future project is focused on maternal empowerment. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
