The Inflammatory Bowel Disease program at Morristown and Overlook medical centers are comprehensive centers of excellence for patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. IBD affects close to 2 million Americans.

• Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic immune condition comprised of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. While ulcerative colitis mainly effects the large bowel, Crohn’s disease can be present throughout the entire gastrointestinal tract.
• Nearly half of patients diagnosed with IBD have other organs affected, such as their skin, joints and eyes.
