Child & adolescent mental health

The behavioral health of children and adolescents is an ever-growing concern for parents and the community. We offer services specific to the needs of younger patients, giving them the opportunity to express their anxieties, develop coping skills and better deal with relationship issues.

Assessment and care when, where and how you need it

Psychotherapy & medication

Our pediatric psychiatrists and licensed therapists provide children, teens, and young adults with individual, group and family therapy. Counseling that includes parental and family involvement is central to our program and highly encouraged. In addition, we can help our patients manage any medications they may be taking to treat their mental health condition.

Services vary by location and are available at Morristown Medical Center, Newton Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center.

Adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP)

Our program is designed to support and treat teens who have significant struggles with emotional health, often leading to difficulty functioning in daily activities. Our group-based program utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), an evidenced-based, gold-standard treatment approach. We treat teens ages 13-17 experiencing mental health and substance misuse issues. Programming is offered 3 days per week, 3 hours a day.

Adolescent IOP is currently available at Overlook Medical Center.

Options for assessment & care

We offer a comprehensive array of services designed to support a variety of behavioral health needs. Our approach ensures continuous care tailored to your child’s unique journey through evaluation, treatment, and recovery.

With multiple programs and locations across northern New Jersey, we make it easier for children and their families to access the right level of care and support, promoting lasting improvements in mental and emotional well-being.
