Morris County Sexual Trauma Center

At Atlantic Behavioral Health, we believe that victims of sexual assault, as well as their loved ones, should receive specialized care in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Services are free and available to Morris County residents ages 13 and older.

Servicios disponibles en el Morristown Medical Center:

• Sexual Assault Program Hotline: 973-829-0587 – confidential emotional support provided by a trained advocate available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) – Survivors ages 13 and older who experienced a sexual assault within the previous 5-days have access to a confidential advocate, certified forensic nurse and/or specially-trained law enforcement investigators to address their medical, emotional and legal needs

Services available at Morristown Medical Center Outpatient Behavioral Department:

• Individual counseling – available to survivors of sexual trauma, ages 13 and older, who live in Morris County, as well as to their families and loved ones. Please call 973-971-4754 to speak with a clinician about counseling services.
• Servicios de defensa: defensores capacitados acompañan a las sobrevivientes de violencia sexual a los tribunales, departamentos de policía y salas de emergencia
• Support groups – available to survivors of sexual violence, their families and significant others
• Community education – provides a variety of education to schools, community organizations, and other groups including topics such as consent, healthy relationships, supporting survivors, trauma informed care, and more.
• Prevention Coalition – aims to create a supportive and connected community free of sexual violence through collaboration, engagement, and education.
